SVG Cuts

Cookies are still always on my mind and I haven't done any in a while.  Hopefully with the holidays upon us I  might venture into the kitchen for some sugar cookie action. 

I have been heavily into scrapbooking lately and my new favorite thing is my Cricut Expression Machine and reading up on SVG files and such.  I am hoping to win something on a blog that I requent http://svgcuts.com/blog/?p=7764  They are doing a 12 days of giveaways on their site and I am hoping that one of these days I might turn up a lucky winner.  My fingers are crossed for a Sure Cuts a Lot 2!

Big Sister Bouquet

This bouquet was for 2 big sisters that just had a new addition of a baby girl enter their lives.  Although the faces on the people scare me a little (I am not an artist... I like stick people) it turned out pretty good.  I love the little ladybugs.  I hope those little girls love their cookies.

Another Wedding Shower

These cookies were made for my cousins soon to be wife.  I was very excited to make these cookies for her.  I hope she likes them.  I made a bunch to be set out for eating at the shower and then made a couple to send home with her to give to my cousin.

Penguin Birthday Cookies

These penguin cookies are for a little boy to bring to his school for his birthday.  He asked for Penguin cookies so he got them.  I LOVE THEM!  They are almost too sweet to eat.  But I bet the kids won't think that way.  I hope that Charlie likes them.  Happy Birthday Charlie!

Wedding Shower Cookies

These cookies were made for my friends mom who was helping host a wedding shower today.  It was a last minute order but fun to do.  It is funny because the same themes pop up at the same time as I have another wedding shower I am making cookies for next week.  I might try something a little different on the ones next week just to set them apart.  I hope the bride and her family and friends liked the cookies.

Thank you Samantha for ordering the cookies and thinking of me when your mom wanted to do something different.  I appreciate it!  Thank you so much for coming over to take pictures of the cookies for me since I don't have a camera right now.  It helped me out soooo much!  I am just sorry you had to come at 8am to get them. Tom and Jerry

I was approached to do a Tom and Jerry cookie order a couple of weeks ago.  I did lots of research on Tom and Jerry cookie cutters.  When I didn't find any I decided to go for it anyway and see what happens.  I am very proud of these cookies.  They are going to a little boys classmates tomorrow to help celebrate his birthday.  I hope he liked them!

Arr-nother Pirate Party!!!

And we have arr-nother pirate party!  The pirate theme is really hot right now so when a friend asked me to make the pirate cookies for her son's 6th birthday I was very excited.  I hope he likes them!

Bake Sale Bouquets

I am very excited about these bouquets.  They turned out exactly how I wanted them to from concept to finished product.  LOVE THEM!  These bouquets were made for Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  They are hosting a bake sale tomorrow morning and I believe that they are using the bouquets in their silent auction.  Pretty cool!

Another week... another order

I am getting ready to work on a cookie order for a repeat customer who is going to visit family this weekend and asked for some of my cookies to share with her family.  I am so honored!  I will try to post some pictures of my work but I am sad to say that my camera is broken. So sad :(

I am also going to whip up a little something special for a good friends daughter who is celebrating her 2nd birthday tomorrow.  I hope she likes it!

Elmo and Cookie Monster Birthday

I was asked to make some Sesame Street character cookies for a friend to take to school for his birthday.  I got a little nervous when I couldn't find any Sesame Street cookie cutters in town.  After doing much research online to try I came up with the these cookie designs using a round cutter.  They might not be a perfect resemblance of the characters but  I think they turned out cute.  I was excited when I delivered the cookies and our little friends were so happy to see Elmo and Cookie Monster on their cookies.  I  love the look on a child's face when they get a special treat like this.  It makes the hard work worth it!  Happy 2nd Birthday Nolan!
